About

Stakeholder theory is an academic framework and research field that examines the relationships between an organization and the various groups or individuals who have a 'stake' in its activities, outcomes, or decisions. It investigates the diverse interests, claims, and influence of these stakeholders—extending beyond traditional shareholders to include employees, customers, suppliers, communities, and others—and provides a conceptual basis for understanding organizational purpose, ethical responsibilities, strategic management, and corporate social performance.
